Our Rides
Sunday Rides are held every week and start from various meeting places around
Wakefield depending on the destination. There are several groups, the fastest
riding at 18mph plus and the slowest around 14 mph. No cyclist will be left
behind on B and C
rides. Details of rides including location maps of meeting
Weekly Club Rides
points can be found on the Club Run Page and on the Twitter Feed above. Maps of probable routes are included for most rides
so you can try them out yourself or join a run part way through. Details of the End of Ride Pubs, are shown for those who like
a get together for a beer afterwards. Winter rides are around 50 miles increasing in the summer to 80 to 100 miles. Shorter
Morning rides of 45/50 miles are held Tuesday, Thursdays & there are 30/40 mile (fixed wheel) rides and Steady 1 to 2 hour

What we do
How many Calder Clarionistas does it take to mend a puncture
Calder Clarion's activities include time trials, road races, hill climbs,
cyclo-cross
, audax, sportives, touring and enjoying social events.
'Club runs'
 for men and women of all abilities are held on Sundays,
Tuesday and Thursdays year round.
Latest Video Clips
The 'Calder' organises a popular annual cycling week abroad (usually to
Belgium), combining training, touring and socialising. Annual events
include the The Sturgess Trophy, Summer 10 TT Series, Club Best
All Rounder and Club Standard Award

Where we meet
Our Club room is in Ossett Town FC Social Club. We
meet Wednesdays at 19:30 from September to April.

In the summer, the main meeting point is the Kings Arms, Heath every Wednesday after the summer series
10 Mile TT
event held on Heath Common at 7pm from
May to August. After Sunday Club Runs there is a
Post Run Pub visit (shown on the club run page).
It's a chance for a social gathering whether or not
you go on the Ride.
