Ride with other local cyclists on the Club Rides, meet up
socially at our club room or regular pub social nights,
ride and race in our Club colours, participate in our Club
competitions. Share experiences with like minded people

Our Rides

Sunday Rides are held every week and start from Thornes
Park Denby Dale Road Car Park. There
are several groups,
the fastest riding at + 18mph, the
slowest around 12 mph.

Details of rides including location maps of meeting points
can be found on the Club Run Pages
on the Twitter Feed above.
Maps of probable
routes are
included for most rides so you can try
them out yourself or join part way through.

Details of the End of Ride Pubs, are shown for those who
like a get together for a beer afterwards.
Winter rides
are around 50 miles increasing in the summer
to 80 to 100 miles.

Morning rides of 45/50 miles are held Tuesday,
Thursdays and on Saturday mornings there
are 30/40 mile
training "improver" rides and Steady
1 to 2 hour Health Rides

What we do

Calder Clarion's activities include time trials, road races, hill climbs, cyclo-cross, audax, sportives,
touring, enjoying social events & 'Club runs' for men and women of all abilities. We organises a
popular annual cycling week abroad, combining training, touring and socialising.Annual events
include include the Sturgess Trophy, Summer 10 TT Series and Club Standard Awards
Where we meet
Our Club room is in Ossett Town FC Social
Club. We meet Wednesdays 19:30 from
September to April.

From May to August the main meeting point
is the Spread Eagle, Wragby every Wednesday after the summer 10 Mile TT events held at
Hemsworth at 7pm.

After Sunday Club Runs there is a Post Run
Pub visit (shown on the club run page).

It's a chance for a social gathering whether
or not you Ride.
